High tech vehicles
Every vehicle in our (100+) fleet is temperature-controlled.
But we go further than that.
Each unit is fitted with a pre-heat feature, for use in severe winter conditions. Complete cooling/heating management is achieved within 15 minutes of refrigeration units being activated, regardless of the external weather conditions.
By the end of 2009 our entire fleet will be able to handle both cold chain (+2oc to +8oc) and temperate (+15oc to +25oc) transportation requirements, as set down by the MRHA.
In addition every vehicle is fitted with calibrated on-board temperature recorders - as well as alarms to alert drivers should a temperature excursion occur.
And we have combined this sophisticated temperature control technology with a satellite navigation system so we always know the ‘live’ location of our vehicles. At the same time clients can check the real-time delivery status and temperature of individual consignments via our POLARTRACK online portal.
